Windows 10: Inverse Scrolling

So, whenever I get a new mouse or in my case a new motherboard and new cpu, I change my mouse scrolling to inverse. So, up is down and down is up. I've tried changing FlipFlopWheel in regedit under the correct device path ID, but strangely this time the changes aren't taking effect. Anyone care to help please?

ELAN Touchpad Scroll Inversion

Initializing a brand-new HP computer. Elan touchpad scroll inversion not showing from the settings menu.

I have already tried:

-- updating the Elan touchpad driver

-- regedit options for SC_Reverse_Enable and SC_Reverse_ShowItem (they were already set to 1)

-- digging around in mouse/touchpad settings

-- using device manager to hopefully change settings

The option to reverse scroll direction is not showing up at all in any menu.

New event. When placing cursor over a list or row of columns, even the volume bar scrolling is automatic and proceeds to one end of the series and stops. The scrolling also stops when I move the cursor away from the list but am unable to select anything in the list. Not all the possible lists are effected. Other sites have recommended mouse/kb fixes. Have tried all those but the phenomena persists. Have not had any known updates recently and don't have a restore point to try. Any other suggestions? W10Pro 1903

 

Colour Inversion

I re-installed the OS on my new Windows 10 laptop because of an unrelated glitch. Now, when I open Magnifier, I can no longer toggle "Colour Inversion" on and off with the ctrl+alt+I command. The key combination is unresponsive. It worked OK before I re-installed
Windows. I can still open the settings page and turn Inversion on and off by ticking/unticking the "Colour Inversion" box, but this is too cumbersome when using Inversion to read text, since I need to frequently toggle back and forth between text and graphics.

Has anyone had this problem and successfully solved it? Changing a registry setting?
