Windows 10: Invisible, old Hulu icon still on Taskbar

Hello.


So, I noticed a couple of days ago that Hulu was updated and has a new, updated icon which I had to re-pin to my taskbar. However, the old taskbar icon for it remains - invisible and stuck with only the option to "pin to taskbar" that cannot be removed. Is there any way to remove this?


It's rather obnoxious to see another program active and the space it occupies just separates it from the other pinned items. I already did an sfc /scannow and there was no corruption in the system. I'm also currently updating Windows 10.

System Icons on taskbar

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Invisible icons in taskbar

Hello.

I upgraded to Win10 today, got it via Update center, and I have some issues.

First of all, after boot and login, black screen appears, only mouse is visible.

Task manager is working, but starting explorer.exe didn't help.

Than everything appears after few minutes, but taskbar has invisible icons. Running apps, tray apps, even clock are invisible, don't highlight, but still clickable.

All drivers and updates installed and fresh.

Using Dell Inspiron laptop.

Any ideas how to fix it?

None of this works. I don't understand why microsoft forces update that always seem to have big problems. I now have 5 "invisible" icons in my taskbar and there are no icons for the store or any of the games that I have such as backgammon, spades, Yahtzee.
jigsaw puzzles, or solitaire. This really pisses me off!!
