Windows 10: invisible taskbar icons windows 11

my taskbar will show but none of the apps do, not even the windows icon. At first a simple restart did the trick but now even that won't work. the only things that appear are the microsoft onedrive and up arrow on the far right of the taskbar. does anyone know how to fix this?

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

I don't have this trouble.
Try Pulling the icon to desktop then right click / choose properties / change icon. If the one that
shows doesn't work try browse and choose some other icon.
Calc.exe maybe messed up and need a reinstall.

you might also try changing taskbar icon size. to see if that will have an effect.

None of those work and there is no option to uninstall Calculator - I did reset it. Creating a desktop icon shows the correct icon but the taskbar icon remains blank when Calulator is running on all PCs.
