Windows 10: Iolo System Mechanic Professional - Won't Uninstall

Hi!

I was having some computer issues so i reinstalled Windows 10 and was gradually putting programs back on that I had prior to the reinstall.


It seems every time I install System Mechanic Pro, it makes my computer run at 100% CPU, then I try to uninstall it, and it just gets stuck in the "Unregistering system shield email scanner" process and does not progress past that - it has been there for over an hour and wont uninstall.


I did some searching and installed Revo Uninstaller and am running that now, but the same exact thing happened. How do I get this program off my computer when I can't get anything to uninstall it? I'm not going to re-install it, it was running perfectly fine before I put it on there and i did this multiple times, I've reinstalled windows10 probably 3x since Saturday and it got stuck every time with System Mechanic, so now I've learned my lesson. I'm tempted to just reinstall windows one last time, and be done with Iolo System Mechanic.

Iolo System Mechanic 15.5.0.61 and Windows 10

I uninstalled System Mechanic today and had no problems. I ran regedit and did not find any iolo enteries. Neither did I find an Iolo or System Mechanic folders under Program. Apparently all went well.

Have you uninstalled Iolo's System Mechanic or just disabled it?



I would probably uninstall System Mechanic and reboot

Then uninstall Activesync and reboot

Now reinstall Activesync and give it a shot

 

Iolo SystemMechanic Professional CONFLICT

I recently installed Iolo's System Mechanic Professional ver. 7.5. It's firewall and/or anti-virus programs conflict fatally with ActiveSync. Even following Iolo's instructions to turn off these programs still results in ActiveSync being non-functional
- even after uninstallation and reinstallation of ActiveSync. When attempting to sync, I get 2 error messages: Critical Components of ActiveSync have failed to start, and another that says, SYWARE INC...Can't find Windows CE device. Also, RAPIMgr, a critical
component of Mobile 5, fails to shut off correctly when the system is powered down, resulting in a routine lock (requiring END NOW).

Iolo initially advised me that they were working on a fix for their next update, and suggested disabling their product. After disabling their product, and finding that it did not fix the problem, I advised them, but have heard nothing further from them.

Any suggestions as to how to get ActiveSync working again would be appreciated!

I would apprecaite hearing from anyone about similar experiences.
