Windows 10: iPhone not showing up in Windows Explorer : Win 11

I routinely plug my iPhone XS into my tower to copy photos across to my desktop. Now it won't show there. Instead I get some irritating Windows app that wants to detect ALL of my many many photos. I DON'T WANT THAT. I want to see my iPhone in the directory tree Exlorer and be able to see the folders and select photos to drag and drop onto my desktop. Help please. What was simple now appears to be impossible. Can I just uninstall the Windows photos app perhaps?

IPhone doesn't appear in file explorer in win 10

I have Win 10 X 64 Pro and an iPhone 5S. It does not show in Explorer. It does not show in you suggestion. I downloaded the suggested Fix and so far No Good. Any other help suggestions welcomed.

Win10 Laptop Can't Connect to New iPhone 11

Just upgraded from iPhone 6s. USB connection sees all photos on the 6. But on the 11, usb connection shows barely 1 dozen out of thousands of photos. Laptop does not have iTunes installed. I connected both once by Bluetooth which went as expected but I didn't know what to do in Windows so I shut down overnight. Now in Bluetooth, iPhone 11 says it sees laptop and it's connected, but Win 10 laptop cannot see iphone device at all, but does see neighbors' devices, does not show iPhone 11 as either a drive or as a network device. Is there some Win10 registry sabotage here? Did I somehow tell Win10 never to see or connect to this iphone? Any ideas about how to get full connectivity? I've cold booted both devices repeatedly. Windows Explorer Replacement?

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer
