iPhone rapidly connects and disconnects from PC

I have iphone 15 pro max. Last month my iphone would connect via USB to my PC with no issues. Now, when connecting it connects, the iphone asks me to 'trust the PC it is connected to'. I press Yes, enter the phone pin to unlock it connects, and after a few seconds it disconnects then reconnects again. If i dont select on the iphone to 'trust the pc' quick enough it disconnects and reconnects and repeats the same question again. If I try the options quickly it just disconnects and reconnects in an endless cycle.I tried using different USB C cable in case the cable was damaged but this does the s

  2. iPhone rapidly connects and disconnects from PC

I have a custom-built PC with a PCI-E wireless Bluetooth/Wifi adapter (the wifi works fine). I have a 5600x and 6700xt, and a Asus Tuf Gaming B550 plus motherboard (in case that's relevant). My iPhone 8 (which has the latest update) keeps rapidly connecting and disconnecting to my PC, making apps like Phone Link and Intel Unison unusable. I can't even try to pair the phone, because the app just gets stuck on the QR code screen trying to connect. I had to reinstall windows recently (I am on the latest version of windows 11), and the issue started after. Basically, the iPhone would sometimes disconnect before, but now after I reinstalled windows it doesn't work at all. I had windows 11 before, and I have windows 11 now. Is there a way to fix this? I feel like it might be on the iPhone's end, since the internet and bluetooth for other devices also drops on that phone, but is there any way to fix it without having to spend money? Thanks for help anyone can give. I'm not sure how to attach it, but I do have a video of the issue in case anyone needs to see it.

Connect my iPhone XR to Windows 10 desktop

I need to connect to iTunes to backup iPhone contents and sync my iPhone XR with new purchases from the Store to my Windows 10 desktop. According to Apple, the Windows 10 desktop must be Unlocked in order for
iTunes to update and sync to my iPhone XR.

I get the message "Trust This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected wirelessly or using a cable." when I connect the iPhone to my Windows 10 desktop via usb
    cable.

    My specifications are:

    • iTunes Version 12.10.7.3.
    • iPhone XR iOS version 13.3.1. Version 13.5 available.
    • Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4497165).
    I have tried previous suggestions:

    • Reset Location & Privacy on iPhone.
    • Tried a different USB cable for connection of the iPhone and Windows 10 desktop.
    • Turned off Wi-Fi on iPhone.
    • No personal hotspots defined on iPhone.
    • Found this article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202778. Followed the suggested steps with no luck.
    • Found this article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204095. Look at step four. "If you see a Trust this Computer alert, unlock your device and tap Trust:. How do I
unlock the device? Which device -- PC or iPhone?
    Any suggestions?

    Connecting my iphone

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

Connecting your iPhone to your new Microsoft Surface Laptop should be a straightforward process. If your laptop is mistakenly recognizing your iPhone as an Android device, here are some steps to resolve the issue:

    Step 1: Install iTunes

    1. Download iTunes:
      • Go to the Apple iTunes download page and download the latest version of iTunes for Windows.
    2. Install iTunes:
      • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install iTunes on your Surface Laptop.
    3. Restart Your Computer:
      • After installing iTunes, restart your Surface Laptop to ensure that all drivers and services are correctly loaded.
    Step 2: Connect Your iPhone

    1. Connect via USB:
      • Use the official Apple USB cable to connect your iPhone to your Surface Laptop.
    2. Trust This Computer:
      • On your iPhone, you should see a prompt asking if you trust this computer. Tap Trust and enter your passcode if prompted.
    3. Open iTunes:
      • Open iTunes on your Surface Laptop. It should recognize your iPhone correctly.
    Step 3: Check Device Manager

    1. Open Device Manager:
      • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
    2. Locate Your iPhone:
      • In the Device Manager, find Portable Devices. Your iPhone should be listed here as Apple iPhone.
    3. Update Driver:
      • If it’s listed incorrectly (e.g., as an Android device), right-click on it and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Step 4: Reinstall Apple Mobile Device USB Driver

    1. Manually Install Driver:
      • If the automatic update does not work, you can manually reinstall the Apple Mobile Device USB driver:
        • Disconnect your iPhone.
        • Close iTunes.
        • Reconnect your iPhone.
    2. Open Device Manager Again:
      • In Device Manager, right-click on the incorrectly listed device and choose Update driver.
      • Select Browse my computer for driver software.
      • Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
      • Select usbaapl64.inf or usbaapl.inf (depending on your system architecture) and click Open.
Step 5: Use the "Your Phone" App

    1. Open "Your Phone" App:
      • Windows 11 includes the Your Phone app, which allows you to connect and manage your phone. Open Your Phone from the Start menu.
    2. Set Up Your Phone:
      • Follow the prompts to set up your device. Make sure you select iPhone during the setup process.
    3. Link Your iPhone:
      • Follow the instructions to link your iPhone. This may require downloading the Your Phone Companion app from the Apple App Store and signing in with your Microsoft account.
    Step 6: Troubleshoot USB Connections

    1. Try Different USB Ports:
      • Try connecting your iPhone to different USB ports on your Surface Laptop to see if it makes a difference.
    2. Check USB Cable:
      • Ensure that you are using a genuine Apple USB cable. Sometimes third-party cables can cause connectivity issues.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards
