Windows 10: iPod Driver Error

    iPod Driver Error


    I just upgraded to Windows 10 OS. It doesn't recognize my iPod. When I attach to the USB port, I get a message there's a problem with this drive. Then, Disc Check can't be performed because Windows can't access the disk. When I open Settings > Devices, the message says iPod Driver error.

    I expect I need a new Driver installed. Can anyone help with this? Thank you!

    My IPOD Nano won't sync with windows 10. The error message displayed reads - "An IPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the IPod, then try again. If the problem persists, uninstall ITunes, then
    install ITunes again." I did that along with changing the cable - receive the same message! Also checked for the latest drivers and ran diagnostic - computer determines latest drivers and the device working properly. However, when I plug the device in two
    (2) IPods' drives appear. When I had windows 8 - one IPOD one drive. Any thoughts - thank you in advance.

    Hi,

    I have Windows 10 on a Toshiba laptop. I have bought a new 6th generation Ipod. The laptop won't recognise the ipod.

    I have tried troubleshooting the ipod in 'devices and drivers', but no joy. Error message "Ipod has a driver problem - not fixed".

    It won't let me remove the device either.

    Everything I have tried from forums etc I have searched hasn't worked. In the process of this, I tried to check for windows updtaes, but these won't download either. I have troubleshooted this too, with no success!

    Any ideas?

    iPod Driver Error

    What kind of Ipod is it and do you have the relevant Apple software installed (i.e. Itunes, Bonjour...)

    This is the iPod Shuffle version 2, and yes I have the latest version of itunes installed. The problem is something to do with Windows 10 upgrade, since no problems when running System 7. However now it's saying it's a bad driver "driver error." Thank you for any help! -K
