    ipod nano (3rd gen) using Windows 10 will not play my music


    Using newest version of iTunes. iTunes recognizes my ipod nano, seems to sync. Can see all my playlists/folders and individual song titles. Just can not highlight and play any songs. No error messages. Disconnected from my computer my ipod nano plays great as a standalone device and plays like it should on two automobile media systems. Call me baffled!

    Apple iPod Nano (6th Gen) connecting to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

    Same here with Nano 5th gen, I connected it to my laptop yesterday to synch my latest music purchases, Windows installed a driver which I thought was strange because this was not the first time I connected them together then ITunes removed 25% of my music
    from the ipod saying tracks not found (still need to figure that one out!) then Windows declared it was an unrecognized device. I have tried all the recommended fixes to install Apple drivers but they revert to "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Failed)".
    I installed the latest version of ITunes and my Windows updates are....well, up to date. Now my ipod is not recognized by Widows 10 and doesn't appear in ITunes.

    Updated info - my Windows 10 is still build 1511, so my issue not related to Redstone update. Still cant find a fix though!

    Solved! - it was the cable, bought a new one at Apple store - I guess they have to fail sometime!
