Windows 10: IPP Class Driver Issues - can someone look into this?

Some findings on the IPP Class Driver:1. On some print jobs, there is an error popup, and the job sits in error status in the queue. While it can be deleted, it might be a good idea to report the IPP error or windows error in the queue status so users can better track what is going on.2. IPP authentication is not supported even when credentials are set on the in this case HP M608 printer. Using CUPS APIs, a request to print without credentials correctly incurs a callback on the user end for credentials. Provided the credentials match, the print goes through as it should. MS-IPP Class Driver missing

Hi there,

I have two Windows 10 (21H2) computers I wish to connect to a CUPS network printer. However, when I try and connect via IPP, there is no option for the MS-IPP class driver. If I look in DriverStore, INF files for the driver seem to be present under prnms012, but using "Have Disk" to point directly at this file returns a blank list of available drivers. I would really like to use this driver. Any ideas why it doesn't show up?

MS-IPP Class Driver missing

Thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I tried the solutions suggested, but none caused the MS-IPP class driver to become installed. If there were any more things I could try that would be great. Thanks again

 

Microsoft IPP Class Driver

Microsoft IPP Class Driver only offers Grayscale and Monochrome for printers on my laptop.
