    IPP Everywhere IPP 2.0 Server Basic Authentication


    We are attempting to develop and IPP Everywhere Printing Server IPP 2.0 and are having issue with Windows 10 / 11 when attempting to authenticate the clients using Basic AuthenticationWhen we run the system as IPP 1.0 and add using "Select a shared printer by name" and selecting the Microsoft / PostScript Driver everything works as expected.But we have now updated the server to conform to the IPP 2.0 standard, and we are able to add the printer.. but when we attempt to print and challenge the Client with a 401 Unauthorized WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="User Visible Realm" the print job

    MS-IPP Class Driver missing

    Hi there,

    I have two Windows 10 (21H2) computers I wish to connect to a CUPS network printer. However, when I try and connect via IPP, there is no option for the MS-IPP class driver. If I look in DriverStore, INF files for the driver seem to be present under prnms012, but using "Have Disk" to point directly at this file returns a blank list of available drivers. I would really like to use this driver. Any ideas why it doesn't show up?

    Microsoft IPP Class Driver only offers Grayscale and Monochrome for printers on my laptop.

    Thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I tried the solutions suggested, but none caused the MS-IPP class driver to become installed. If there were any more things I could try that would be great. Thanks again
