Windows 10: IPv6 advanced properties says 'Automatic configuration only'

Discus and support IPv6 advanced properties says 'Automatic configuration only' in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; When I enter a static IPv6 address of FE80::1 and allow the default subnet mask of 64-bit, then press okay on both dialogs, it seems to take the input...     IPv6 advanced properties says 'Automatic configuration only'


    When I enter a static IPv6 address of FE80::1 and allow the default subnet mask of 64-bit, then press okay on both dialogs, it seems to take the input okay. But when I reopen the properties window for IPv6, it is set back to automatically assigned.Also, when I click the 'Advanced' button in the IPv6 properties window, it says 'Automatic configuration only'.Also, there are no references to any IPv6 addresses in the console after typing ipconfig /all.Please advise.
