Windows 10: IRQ failed / Scannow

My computer is a HP R9DRB2N. I did a system check and the IRQ failed. I tried a sfc scannow and it said it couldn't finish the requested procedure. I did this because I kept getting "the group resource is not in the correct state to perform the requestd operation". Please tel me what you think is wrong and if I can fix it.Thank you.

IRQ memory BSODS, device manager, memory range?

The only time I've seen that type of BSOD for myself is when I fried the PCI-e slots on my Striker 2 board... There wasn't anything that I could do, try and rma and go on.. I would suggest the steps that MilkyWay has said.. But, if you really don't know much about Bios's... I wouldn't play with Irq's... That can mess up everything on your board. USB, ethernet, ram, chip... But, that's just me on playing with irq's... To much of a hassle IMHO..

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

scannow fails at 72%

If the steps in post #4 do not fix the scannow problem it should be able to be fixed by the in place uprade repair.

Ordinarily a normal component store (restorehealth) fixes problems with scannow.

The CBS and DISM files may have information about the cause of the scannow problem.

So post the share links to see if there is any useful information.

The in place upgrade will be done if there is not an easy fix.
