Windows 10: Irql_not_less_or_euqal and sytem_thread_exception_not_handled.

Hello, when I wanted to solve a BSOD error called Irql_not_less_or_euqal I encoutered some issues. Yesterday when I found a article about my issue called ntoskrnl.exe, on Official Microsoft site I tried doing the verifier check. Thats where more problems started. I started with the normal settings and then I tried Automatically select unsigned drivers and then I tried the rest of checks. Ater that it told me to restart my pc. After restart I logged into my pc and then it happened. Every time I log into my pc, after like 15 seconds the pc restarts and show sytem_thread_exception_not_handled. Wh

Sytem_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled

I currently have Win7 on a laptop. I downloaded Win10 upgrade and began install. I got the following BSOD error Sytem_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled. It says we'll restart for you. It restarts over and over again. Not sure how to resolve this error as I
cannot find any info on this that is not specific for Win10 upgrade. Any suggestions? Thanks

 

A bunch of problems with BSOD's

Hello.

Some background before I go on with the issues.

I've bought ASUS laptop 2+ years ago and I never had any issues with it. It came with preinstalled win 8.0, OEM. Once windows 10

was available to install, I did install it. I never had a problem with it, for the time of usage.

Since I knew I'll need an SSD at some point I finally decided to buy one (Samsung EVO 850, 250GB).

So I went ahead, opened my laptop, put the SSD in and connected it with the sata cable.

Because I wanted to have a clean installation of windows 10 without any bloatware that was given to me when I bought the laptop,

I downloaded windows 10 from microsoft's official page, put it on CD and installed without any issues. Ofcourse I entered BIOS

and disabled the secure boot so I could install windows. It went through without any major problems.

Now here's the thing. Ever since I upgraded my laptop with the SSD and fresh installation of windows 10 I have issues with BSOD's.

At first I had an error about kernel-power, id 41 (that's what it says in event viewer). I never really tried to fix it until 4 weeks ago.

The only thing I did was I disabled some power settings for faster boot. I was really hoping that would solve the problem.

But no... I got BSOD again. The error said: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. Ofcourse I googled about it and found several answers to what could be causing the BSOD.

What I tried that far was:

- checked for updates and drivers (all of them are up to date)

- right clicked both of my drives and used the tool to check for any issues (in both cases it reported no problems)

- used memory diagnostics (no issues were found)

- used prime95. Stress test was ran for an hour and nothing happend

After that I went ahead and used chkdsk command in cmd to scan and fix my C drive (the one where windows is installed on).

It worked great until earlier today. I got a BSOD again and I wasn't even playing any games like I usually do when I get BSOD.

This time it was different error again. It said SYTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

This evening I got another message while playing a game. From the system tray I saw a popup which said that my computer is running low on memory (not to mention the screen resolution was so bad I could only see my system tray icons, my laptop has 8gb of ram).

I forgot to mention that my laptop occasionally just shut down while I was playing some games. I believe that could be because of high cpu temp so that shouldn't have much to do with the BSOD's I guess.

I am really getting frustrated because I have issues all the time. I don't believe SSD could have gone bad (or memory).

In worst case scenario I'll have to ditch windows 10 and go back to 8.1

I believe I should be adding the minidump files, so here's a link: Microsoft OneDrive
