Windows 10: Is Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 compatible with Windows 10?

I've been using Windows 10 for more than a year. My Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 worked fine until today. All of a sudden, it will not boot. After troubleshooting, it seems as though Windows 10 will no longer be compatible with Photo Shop Elements 6. I can't figure out why this program would work for so long and all of sudden not be compatible. Shall I uninstall this version of Photoshop and reinstall? Or should I look into getting a newer version?

The Compatibility Center site has been MIA for several weeks now. You will probably be better off posting in a Photoshop forum where there's more likelihood
that someone has tried using Elements 6 in Windows 10.

 

Is Photoshop Elements 11 compatible with Windows 10?

According to
this page on the Adobe Support website, Elements 14 is compatible with Windows 10.

 

Compatibility of Adobe Photoshop Elements with Windoes 10

I have a friend who is on the fence regarding upgrading to Windows 10. She uses Adobe Photoshop Elements on a computer running 8.1. I checked Adobe's website and it currently only indicates whether their products are compatible with 8.1, and not 10.
I searched Microsoft's site and it states that if a program is compatible with 8.1, it should operate properly while using Windows 10. Can this be verified?
