In July, my computer was locked with a message from Microsoft Defender for me to call a phone number. I called the number and they said they were a Microsoft contractor. I paid them with the service and an additional $500 for another year of protection by credit card to Avast-Services. In October, I received a call from or "pretending" to be from Avast-Services, who knew the details of the transaction. He told me their system was incompatible to mine and would refund the payments to me. He showed a refund portal to me to put in details for refund, including the amount. He then faked a ba

Windows Service not running at computer startup / restart.

@Samurai - Thanks for the suggestion, but how does this recommendaiton work with an already existing service? Because the service is already listed in the services list, it just refuses to start when set to "Automatic" when I startup or restart the computer. By the looks of the "runaservice" download, it will create a whole new service in the services list, as if I don't currently have one.

 

Bluetooth Services

I've been using the audio gateway on my phone for a while, but when I actually looked through the list of services it does provide, I found it to be quite large. For some reason, my computer doesn't support many of these, such as remote control etc.

I'm pretty sure it has more or less to do with my bluetooth adapter, because it gives me only a small list of the total services it can accept. Anybody have any idea how I can add more?

 

ASUS Offers Premium Service for its High-end R.O.G. Motherboards

Its nice they can offer such a service to its 'premium' customers. but saying that - if they can 'rush' RMA's then surely they should be offering this same service to EVERYONE to promote/market the entire company instead of offering the service to only a SELECT few.

like EVGA's step up program for graphics cards.

If they can work at that speed then why not keep it up CONSTANTLY? that way they will net more customers, & more customer satisfaction its like saying "we can work faster, but only when it suits us"
