  1. Is Email Phishing and issue only on local email?

    Hiya,

I have Gmail. For some strange reason I use both local Gmail (via the Windows 10 mail app) but more often use the online version of Gmail, which I've dropped into my taskbar.

So when it comes to phishing emails -- are online accounts as vulnerable as local? It just occurred to me that maybe online is safer?

    :)

  2. phishing email

While there are legitimate emails from the Microsoft account team,
email phishing scams using the Microsoft name
are very common so you have to be very careful. A
legitimate email address domain from Microsoft is @accountprotection.microsoft.com.

This is an example of an older scam:
Ask Leo: Is Windows Live Hotmail about to close my account?

    Phishing Email

    Hi,

I have a Lumia 435 phone and I accidentally clicked on a file from a phishing email. The file failed to open. Is this a cause for concern or are windows phones safe from phishing emails.

    All comments appreciated

    Thanks,

    Jeremy
