Windows 10: Is File History available for Windows 11 ARM

I'm looking through my Windows 11 ARM 22H2 installation and can't seem to find any way to access and set up File History. Any documentation I find online seems to ask me to look for programs and settings that don't seem to exist.Is this backup feature only available for Windows 11 on x64 platforms only?

History of Microsoft Surface and Arm

One of the most rewarding aspects of being at Microsoft is the opportunity to work on long-term initiatives with the potential to change the very nature of computing. From garage door opener to game changer

Around the same time Windows RT launched in 2012 on the first Surface device, Arm introduced the concept of creating CPUs that could work fast and hard when needed, using only the high-efficiency cores for tasks that didn’t need lots of horsepower. Arm processors combine high-power & high-wattage cores with low-power & high-efficiency cores to create highly versatile multicore CPUs.

If you’re checking your email or shopping online, the “little” cores can handle it without using much power. But if you’re playing games or streaming movies, the big cores kick in with more performance.

We saw how the Arm architecture enabled smartphones to run for days on a single charge and took the same concept into the Windows framework. With their highly efficient energy, processing power, and heat ratios, Arm is rapidly cutting into the desktop and server landscape.

The Native Arm64 version of Visual Studio® 2022, announced at last year’s BUILD developer conference, is the first version of Visual Studio with native support for building and debugging Arm64 apps on Arm-based processors.

Windows Dev Kit 2023 (code name “Project Volterra”) is the latest Arm device built for Windows developers with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that provides best-in-class AI computing capacity, multiple ports, and a stackable design for desktops and rack deployment. Purpose-built with everything you need to develop, debug, and test native Windows apps for Arm.

File History Not Backing Documents Windows 11

File History is not backing up all files and folders on Windows 11.

File History is only backing up files and folders on my desktop and downloads folder.

Troubleshooting steps I took:

1. Deleted all files and folders off the external drive I use for back up

2. Turned off file history

3. Set up File History again to back up my files

File History would only back up files and folders on my desktop and downloads folder

Repeated steps 1 and 2

Doubled checked and made sure One Drive backup is still off.

I opened the two configuration files used for backing up and updated them to include all folders that File History should back.

Repeated step 3.

Still File History on Windows 11 will not back up all folders and files.

Microsoft needs to update File History on Windows 11 to how it was used on Windows 10 - giving users to set it up within settings and give us users the options to add locations.

After all of the troubleshooting steps I took, it appears as though File History back up is stuck between a selection from Windows 10 prior to upgrading my PC to Windows 11.

File History not backing up any files

Hello Victor

Thank you for the response. I had already checked that thread, but it hasn't helped me:

The thread deals with Windows 8's implementation of File History, which is somewhat different to that of Windows 10.

Most of the thread deals with setting up File History (which I have already done, precisely following the recommended steps). The third link in the thread might have been useful since it appears to link to a page that deals with troubleshooting File History
(as opposed to setting it up), but unfortunately the link is dead.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
