    Is HPSUPPORTUS an actual HP Help Resource?


    I visited the HP Support website for help and selected Message Us. Then I sent them a message and a while later received a message back via FB Messenger. They asked me to explain my problem and provide my serial number and product ID. I did that. Then they advised that I should uninstall a driver because I was having Network Adapter connectivity issues. I did not notice until today that I was messaging HPSUPPORTUS on Facebook. Are they legit?? Should I worry about their having my laptop serial number and product ID or model number? I have no idea how they even knew I was having laptop issues.
