Windows 10: Is it advisable to upgrade a 2.93 GHz, 2 GB Ram PC from windows 7 sp1 to windows 10 or 8.1...

Hey,I need to upgrade my secondary pc from windows 7 sp1 to windows 8.1 or 10,But the thing is it has only 2 GB ram with a not so bad Pentium e7500 with 2.93 Ghz.So, should I upgrade or stick to the same OS as I have to give that to my brother for gaming and studies.Thanks.

Will 8 GB make WIN10 run ok on a Core 2 Duo?

Microsoft lists the Windows 10 minimum hardware requirements as:

• Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC.
• RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit.
• Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS.
• Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver.
• Display: 800x600

But I reccomend

1. processor: 2.5 GHz Dual Core (Faster is better)
2. RAM :- 4 GB (2018 Atleast 8 GB)
3. HDD 320GB
4. GPU :- any (Nvidia Tiatan v is the Best)
5. Display :- 1920X1080 (Full HD)

 

Windows 10 will not run on this PC, Not enough RAM.

No "Get Windows 10" App In Windows 7 Ultimate With SP1

Hey Microsoft,

I have a laptop that is running Windows 7 Ultimate with the SP1 update installed. All of these requirements have been met:

• Latest OS: Make sure you are running the latest version either Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 Update.
• Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC
• RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit
• Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS
• Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
• Display: 1024x600

I am not sure if all other requirements on
this page (anything below the "System Requirements" section) have been met as well.
