Windows 10: Is it email providers or the facebook servers?

I was wondering if anyone ever came across this before. I have tried to see if anyone on facebook, or their community forum, or other social media forums have an answer to this and I've come up with nothing. I've also reported the issue to facebook twice. I've also reached out on several mainstream email provider forums. There's been a problem where I never receive the automated email confirmation from facebook mail when I add an email address in my personal facebook account. I've used three different email accounts and added multiple email addresses. None of the accounts have come even close to reaching the maximum quota of email. None of the settings in each account are blocking any facebook domains. I've even whitelisted several facebook domains and disabled each browser's tracking and ad blocking extensions. Ive whitelisted facebook settings pages in the extensions. The emails are not being received in the junk or spam folders either. The settings page in Facebook remains in a perpetual "pending email" status for any email address that I add. The pending verification message in Facebook will say an an email has been sent to such and such email address and it needs to be verified by me. I experimented after awhile to see whether I would be allowed to sign in to fb with an email address in the pending upon verification status. I was successsfully able to sign in to fb. And if I cancel the pending status, I can not use that added email address to sign in. Is this entire issue due to Facebook server(s), or are all of the mainstream email providers that I've tried maybe blocking some Facebook mail domain?

Are there any other suggestions for email servers, either like Kerio but cheaper, or perhaps not as comprehensive, but free.

Like pinchy, I'd like to set up a basic mailserver that can also provide webmail services (and NOT look like some clumsy 1980's html rubbish) for about 10 users.

 

Email server: Help needed

I'm looking to set up a simple (free or cheapish) email server. It doesnt have to be too fancy. Will have about 15 email accounts on it, and needs to have ability for webmail so mail can be picked up while on the road.

Exchange and Outlook Web Access seems like overkill (or at least, pretty expensive given the software and CLA required).

Suggestions gratefully appreciated.
