Discus and support is it fine to mix Win7 and Win10 ADMX/L templates? in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; i have 2008 R2 domain with some Win7 clients and now Win10 1803 clients. my gpo is still catering for Win7 clients and i want to include or provide gpo...     is it fine to mix Win7 and Win10 ADMX/L templates?


    i have 2008 R2 domain with some Win7 clients and now Win10 1803 clients. my gpo is still catering for Win7 clients and i want to include or provide gpo controls for Win10 clients.

    is it safe to overwrite my current policydefinitions with the ADMX/S files from a Win10 1803 templates? by that i mean will i still be able to manage Win7 gpo settings (because there are still plenty of Win7 clients) as before?

    Hello,

    How do you know that link is the latest as I found this link:-

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48257

    It shows in the details both Windows 10 and Windows 10 1511 ADMX templates.

    The new template should be Windows 10 1607 surely?

    I haven't been able to find a release date for the newest iteration of ADMX for Win10 build 1607. Has anyone heard an ETA? I'm doing compatibility testing already and everything seems great but there are some new features that I need to address prior
    to widespread testing.
