    Is it legal to give product key to another person?


    I purchased a Windows 10 Pro retail package directly from Microsoft in 2015. Package contents include a USB 3.0 drive, a card imprinted with a product key, and instructions. I am currently using Windows 11 Pro that is activated with a digital license. The Windows 11 Pro was upgraded from a Windows 10 Pro installation. I do not know if the current Windows 11 is associated in any way with the Windows 10 product key purchased in 2015.To determine if there is any association, I searched Internet for process to recover the product key from my Current Windows 11 install. Found a product key in

    I don't think so - I tried to sell a stack of OEM discs with no keys and MS threw a fit, so eBay deleted my listing. Try craigslist instead.

    Thank you for posting your reply.

    I suggest you to activate the copy of Windows via phone by following the steps below:

    • Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
    • Select your Region/Country.
    • Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.
