Windows 10: Is it me or as anyone else having slow boot times?

    Is it me or as anyone else having slow boot times?


    I’ve fully updated windows 10, and I have noticed my computer has significantly slower boot times. Is anyone else experiencing this sort of issue?

    Edit: does anyone know why?

    Slow boot

    Hi Craig,

    Boot performance may slow can be due to corruptions. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any recent changes before this issue occur?
    • Have you tried booting up your laptop in Safe Mode and check if the issue still persist?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Boot Times WTF

    Excuse me if I suggest something already mentioned in the thread. I was having real slow boot times with my system. I unchecked NCQ for my hdd(s) in the device manager and it solved my problem.

    Also, your ide primary/secondary, master slave settings correct?

    Computer having slow boot time suddenly

    Try this: It has the option for "boot-time" defrag.

    Puran Defrag - Automatically Defrag your Hard Disk Drives

    It worked for me after I cloned my HD, it was slow to boot. But I had to not only do the boot-defrag, but also the other options they had available.

    I did the normal defrag 1st with PIZOR enabled. Then I ran Boot-Time defrag. (requires a restart).
