Windows 10: Is it normal to get updates every day with Windows 11?

I upgraded from windows 10 to 11 4 days ago, after putting it off for ages. It appears to be fine, but I have had updates every day for the last 4 days. And I have difficulty restarting my PC every time. There is another update [2025-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems KB5060842] pending, but I am very wary of it now and have paused it. Is it normal to get so many updates after installing Windows 11, and is the latest update a safe one? I am not very technical and don't want to have to start looking at the complicated 'fixes' I have seen on this forum!

Vista Pre-SP1 vs. Vista SP1

I've been Windows Updating for two straight days and I finally saw SP1. If you want to troubleshoot it, follow these steps:

• Show hidden updates
• Manually install any failed updates (google the KB_____ and install from the windows site)
• Make sure everything in Device Manager is good to go

I had to do step two for like 4 or 5 updates to be able to see SP1.

Any other benchmarks you guys want to see? I might try PCMark05 (I think it works on Vista).

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 11 having multiple BSOD a day

I've noticed such a problem since 2 months ago. I've tried to replace my memory sticks. This is then followed by updating firmware and software. I tried to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 as well. My final step was to reinstall Windows 11. All the steps have been performed but the issue is still happening, in fact much more frequent than before. Below are the errors that I see while BSOD:

• WHEA Uncorrectable Error
  
• DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
  

I've even run "sfc /scannow" and memory diagnostics, all return normal. I've no idea on what to do now. Hereby providing a .dmp file for your reference under my OneDrive. Link
