Windows 10: Is it now possible to hide specific individuals recognized as people by Microsoft Photos app?

This is kind of an important feature. There are way too many faces recognized. Most of which are pointless. A few I had rather not see highlighted in this section. I went through old threads and this capability was not available till November last year. I still cannot seem to find it so asking here.

How can I remove specific faces/people that have been automatically recognized in the Windows 10 Photos App?

Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible to selectively remove faces that have been automatically recognized by the Windows 10 Photos App.

For example, the app has recognized friends and relatives that I wish to tag, however it also shows dozens of people (and sometimes faces from paintings) that I don't want cluttering up my People album. Google Photos has a 'hide/show' faces option but I
can't seem to find something similar in the Windows Photos App. Is it possible?

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
