Windows 10: Is it possible that a faulty SMPS working normal like switch on PC but

Is it possible that a faulty SMPS working normal like switch on PC but no display on monitor. I know there can be other reasons for no display but I want to know whether a faulty SMPS could be a reason may be a one percent when PC is switching on with the same SMPS.

Not sure how things work where you guys are, but it might be worth getting them checked out. Just changing the sim card shouldn't cause that sort of problem.



Incidentally, what firmware versions are you running? The latest from Nokia at the moment is 3.2010 (PR1.1.1).

Hi, I am from Moscow, and i have just bought N900. I didn't checked it with Sim cart, at home it showed low battery, i connected it to USB to load. 1 hour later i switched it on but again without SIM card, it worked fine, then i put the sim card on and....i
still cant switch it on... I thought it might be low battery? i connected it to USB again hoping to switch it on but it vibrates all the time he reloads and it **bleep** me off!!!Is it normal when it reloads? And why I still cant switch it on????

 

Yes, it sure is possible, It supplies power to many components and different connections and with different voltages come from several voltage regulators in the PSU, so it's possible that it gives some signs of life but with abnormal or no voltages to other parts and cause complete shutdown or inability to start whole machine.

 

If you are running a desktop PC, then remember that your monitor has it's own power supply and that could be faulty!

Check the connection between PC and monitor (cable).
