Is it possible that NVIDIA-NVTOPPS-FILTER causes crash/freeze on my PC?

I'm experiencing a recurring issue where my computer freezes every time I try to open a game or during the game randomly. This forces me to either wait for an automatic hard restart or manually perform a hard restart. Before it automatically or I manually restart I always see this in the event viewer. The backing-file for the real-time session "NVIDIA-NVTOPPS-FILTER" has reached its maximum size. As a result, new events will not be logged to this session until

PC SHUTS OFF. event viewer says something about "NVIDIA-NVTOPPS-NVLOGS"

My PC randomly keeps restarting, I check event viewer and the common pattern seems to show something about

    1. "Session "NVIDIA-NVTOPPS-NVLOGS" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188"
    2. The maximum file size for session "NVIDIA-NVTOPPS-NVLOGS" has been reached. As a result, events might be lost (not logged) to file "C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\nvtopps\nvlog.etl". The maximum files size is currently set to 20971520 bytes.

I'm not sure how to go about this since the internet tells me nothing about this issue.

Is it possible that NVIDIA-NVTOPPS-FILTER causes crash/freeze on my PC?

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
