I know that I can use Alt+Shift or Windows+Space to cycle through input methods. The problem is that I have SEVEN input methods installed, and it is not possible for me to downsize this number. I use each of these input methods daily or near-daily, and I often need to alternate between them frequently in a short period of time.Is there a way for me to bind specific input methods to novel keyboard shortcuts, instead of only being able to cycle through them with Alt+Shift? For example, if I could set it so that Alt+Shift+J activated my Español keyboard, Alt+Shift+K activated m

Unable to assign keyboard shortcut to a specific (Slovak QWERTY) keyboard

In the Language Bar Options tab of Advanced Key Settings I have four actions:

Between input languages -> Left Alt+Shift

To English (United States) - US -> Left Alt+Shift+1

To Russian (Russia) - Russian -> Left Alt+Shift+3

To Slovak (Slovakia) - Slovak (QWERTY) -> Left Alt+Shift+2

The switching (AltShift) works without problems for all languages/keyboards. As well the english and russian keyboards work fine. But the slovak keyboard switching (Left Alt+Shitf+2) doesn't work, indefferently of the shortcut I assign to it... I tried Left
Alt+Shift+4.... and so on, but it just wouldn't work.

Later, when I added a German keyboard and assigned it a shortcut, it worked as well. The only keyboard that wouldn't work with shortcut is the Slovak (QWERTY) keyboard. So is this a windows bug or am I doing something wrong here?

  3. Exclude specific keyboard layourt from shortcut

    Hello rrondo,

Thank you for using Microsoft products and posting to the community.

For your idea I tested it, but unfortunately I found that currently there is no way to do it if you only want to use Shift + alt hotkey to switch between two languages and the third one to adjust it manually.

However, Windows allows you to assign specific hotkeys/shortcuts to switch to a specific keyboard language, e.g. Ctrl + Shift + 1 for English and Alt + Shift + 2 for German etc. I.e. you can assign specific shortcuts for each of your three languages for switching languages, instead of using Shift + alt for switching.

Please click Start - Settings - Time and Language - Input - Advanced Keyboard Settings - Input Language Hotkeys

Check "Between input languages", then click "Change key order", select "Unassigned", click "OK Click "OK". If you don't change this option, you will still switch between the three languages when you press Shift+alt.

After that you can assign shortcuts to other languages by clicking "Change key order". This way you will be able to switch languages with different shortcuts.

Hope you are keeping safe and well. Please feel free to post back if you need further assistance, thanks.

    Sincerely
