Hi I was curious if it's possible to disable the pin / password login screen and go straight to the desktop without any sign in or touching the screen and that way you are simply met with your desktop background and all of your executable icons etc etc. I remember this being possible in the past and I'm not sure on whether or not it has to do with me having an official Microsoft account setup with a key and it's just a security measure to ensure I am logging into that key and my microsoft properly every time I put the PC with that key. Or is that necessary for this day and age in 2022/2023? I

Is it possible to boot to your desktop without a need for a login Screen/PIN/password? Or is it necessary these days.

Hi I was curious if it's possible to disable the pin / password login screen and go straight to the desktop without any sign in or touching the screen and that way you are simply met with your desktop background and all of your executable icons etc etc. I remember this being possible in the past and I'm not sure on whether or not it has to do with me having an official Microsoft account setup with a key and it's just a security measure to ensure I am logging into that key and my microsoft properly every time I put the Pin with that key to verify the login everytime for safety reasons. Or is that necessary for this day and age in 2022/2023? I know that if I do remove the pins that I am then forced to sign in with my entire Microsoft password to get into the computer which just evidently isn't what I was looking for haha. Should I keep it on? Is it necessary? Will I be at risk by turning it off to attackers? Or will the threat at that point be the loving family members in my household.

Boot to start screen in Windows 10

The first item on your list is not the case: it will not directly boot me up to my start screen.

The rest of the steps will only disable the need to enter a password or PIN to login. I will still end up in the desktop rather than the start screen...right?
