Windows 10: Is it possible to bring an old Photos library.photoslibrary into my new computer and view...

Is it possible to bring an old Photos library.photoslibrary into my new computer and view the photos? We moved across country and changed computers. I'm missing some photos and hoping to find them.

Windows 11 > File Explorer > Libraries > View > Change default view for all folders and sub-folders of all Libraries listed?

• I created New Folder
  
• Properties > Customise > Optimised for General Items > tick box Also apply this template to all sub-folders
  
• New Folder > View is List
  
• Options > Folder options > View > Folder views > Apply to Folders
  
• Include in library > Create new library
  
• Go to Libraries > New Folder > View is List
  
• Open New Folder > View is Details?
  

 

Unable to view transferred files on the computer due to file permission issue on Windows 10.

Please reply to a few questions asked below to understand the issue better:

• Which photo viewing application are you using on the computer?
• Did you check if you are able to view the pictures using other photo viewing application?

If haven’t tried, check if you are able to view the pictures using other photo viewing applications on the computer. If you are facing similar issue and able to access the old computer, check if you are able to view the picture files on connecting
the external device.



If you are able to access pictures in the old computer, give Full Control permissions to the folder by following the steps suggested in the above post, copy the same to an external drive and transfer onto the new computer and check
if the issue is resolved.

Photos no longer going to computer pic library

• Are you able to view the photos after importing them?
• Where exactly are you importing the photos?
• What exactly do you mean by “no longer go to my regular computer pictures library”? Do you mean photos won’t get store in picture library?
