After moving house and figuring out a new setup for my PC, I've ditched my old tiny monitor in favor of my old TV. It took some tweaking but I managed to scale the display to fit on the screen without cutting things off. However, I've hit on a new problem. Since the display is going through an HDMI cable, so is the audio. I would rather not do that though, so I wanted to find a way to still use my PC speakers. I have it set up right now where my old PC speakers are feeding into a two-receiving-ended 3.5mm jack adapter, and the other end of that is plugged into RCA cables leading into the TV. T

I would suggest you to refer to the mentioned steps and se if it works:

• Connect your Laptop to the TV and turn everything on
• Right click on the speaker icon, on the task bar.
• Choose Playback Devices. (You will need to be connected to your TV first to see it listed here).
• Click the Properties Button with the TV highlighted in the list
• Click the "Advanced" tab
• Here you can set the default format for audio playback.

  By default this will be set to the highest quality . You can try each level and use the "Test" button to see if it works.

Use my PC speakers with... everything else?

Assuming that you want to use you speakers for both the PC and TV. and the headphone jack is in the side of your TV.

Do this.

Headphone jack of TV <---Jack male to male--->Jack Splitter(or AB switch as Wile E suggested)--->Speakers
PC <----------------Jack male to male---------->^^^^^^
