Is it possible to disable the pop up when "making changes" or "User Account Control...

So, I have to games I play which require administrative privileges but every time I start thew game I get a prompt asking if I'm sure I want to start it. Basically, I want to remove that but for said game specifically, just wondering if it's possible.

  2. User Account Control

    Hello Ridho,

To enable the User Account Control (UAC) on Windows 10, please follow these steps:

    • Click the Start button, type UAC.
    • Click Change User Account Control settings.
    • Choose between two options to enable UAC:
      • Notify when apps try to make changes to your computer.
      • Always notify when installing or making any changes to your computer.
    • Click OK.

Steps to disable User Account Control (UAC).

    • Click the Start button, type UAC.
    • Click Change User Account Control settings.

  3. Disable User Account Control pop-up

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

User Account Control (UAC) can help prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. UAC notifies you when changes are going to be made to your computer that require administrator-level permission. These types of changes can affect the security of your computer
or can affect settings for other people that use the computer. We recommend that you leave UAC on to help make your computer secure.

    1. Have you made any changes to the pc prior to this issue?
    2. Have you logged in as admin on the pc?

Sign out from the current user account, restart the pc and login to the admin account to check if that helps.

If the issue persists then refer the steps and see if it helps.

I would suggest you to set User Account Control settings to default and check, if it works.

    1. Type User account control settings in the search bar, Then User account control settings Window will open.

    2. Set the pointer at default in the User account control settings Window.

Let us know if this helps.

Keep us posted for further assistance, we are here to assist you.

Is it possible to disable the pop up when "making changes" or "User Account Control...

User Account Control: Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?

    Hi Josh,

User Account Control helps prevent malware from damaging a computer. It also allows all users to log on to their computers using a standard user account. To isolate your issue, we'd like to know the following:

    • Have you tried booting up your computer in Safe Mode?
    • Do you have an antivirus application installed?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you change your User Account Control Settings in Control Panel to modify the Settings. Kindly follow these steps:

    • Open Control Panel and click User Accounts icon.
    • Click Change User Account Control settings.
    • This will open the C:\Windows\System32\UserAccountControlSettings.exe file.
    • If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.
    • Move the slider up or down to the setting for how you want to be notified by User Account Control, and click OK.
    • If prompted by UAC, click Yes.
    • When finished, you can close User Accounts.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
