    Is it possible to emulate an LTSC install with other Windows editions?


    My company currently has LTSC licenses, but a lot of software we use require a newer Windows build in order to install/use (current Windows 10 LTSC version is 1809 Build 17763.1518) so we're looking to just use Windows Enterprise or Pro.

    However, we've had issues with hackers that found 0-day exploits in applications like Cortona and breached our servers through it which is why we purchased LTSC licenses to get rid of the extra bloat that usually comes with Windows so that we have a more barebones build and hence less points of entry on Windows to audit.

    My question is, is it possible to install Windows Enterprise or Pro, but still completely remove everything so that it is exactly like an LTSC setup when you first install LTSC?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Hi Biswajit,

    LTSB is old name, LTSC - new. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is not standalone license, it is upgrade from Windows 10 Pro so this license should be present too.

    Enterprise edition is available in corporate channel only and sells starts from at least 5 licenses.

    So Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is a) much more expensive than Pro and b) is nor available for home user.

    The standard Windows 10 installation media does not contain Windows 10 LTSC

    The LTSC version is meant for use in a company/organisation environment and you would not be able to activate that edition, because it is a volume licence and will require regular re-arming . . .

    A Trial version of Windows 10 LTSC is available at the link below, however please remember, if you install that, when the trial period ends, you will need to backup your data and clean install your original edition of Windows 10
