Windows 10: Is It possible to enable the 'battery enegy saver' when lid closed and not plugin ? options...

The power mode options list sleep, shutdown [..] but not 'low power' which would be awaken but with a conservative power consuption, something like where any fan activity would make no sense. We could talk about 50% idle condition or more.The goal is to self trigger the 'battery mode' even if the battery is charged.

Battery Saver Mode not working Windows 10 pro

Thank you for the information. There are several ways on how to turn On or Off battery saver in Windows 10. We suggest trying the steps below and check If it will work for you:



Method 1:

• Open the Action Center (Windows key +
  A).
• Click on the Battery saver action button to toggle it On or Off.

Method 2:

• Open Settings.
• Click on System.
• Choose Battery on the left side and turn On or Off the
  Battery saver status until next charge option.
• Close Settings once done.

Method 3:

• Open Settings.
• Click on System.
• Choose Battery on the left side and check the “Turn battery saver on automatically if my battery falls below:”.
• Adjust the slider to the battery percentage level you want.
• Check or uncheck the Lower screen brightness while in battery saver option if you want.
• Close Settings once done.

Transparency when in battery saver

Sorry, Battery saver mode is exclusive as the name suggests is a mode that uses less system resources. Enabling Fluent is not possible in Battery Saver.

 

Keep external monitors on when laptop lid is closed

Just in case this hasn't been resolved yet, you can get to the laptop lid settings by going to Start Menu and finding "Control Panel." When there, choose Hardware and Sound > Power Options. When on the "Power Options" screen, the list of options on the left should contain "Choose what closing the lid does." Choose that option and you should see settings for "When I close the lid" when "On battery" and when "Plugged in." You could choose to set both to "Do nothing." I usually set the "Plugged in" option to "Do nothing" when connected to external monitors.

NOTE: There is a quick way to get here from the Settings app too. There should be a "Find a setting" search box on the left. Type "lid" in there and hit Enter. A suggestion should come up that says "Change what closing the lid does." If you select that suggestion, it will take you to the same Control Panel location I mentioned above.
