Windows 10: Is it possible to find my Windows Product Key on my system?

Title. So I bought a genuine copy of Windows 7 Home with a prebuilt PC 7/8 years ago (I have the disc). But I do not have the product code anymore.

Now, my problem is that my processor (i7 7000k) wouldn’t let me perform windows updates or upgrade my PC to Win 10 due to incompatibility issues, so I need to perform a complete new install.

However, that will mean I’m not able to use the product code I bought. So, my question is, is there anyway I can locate my code on my system? (It’s not stuck to my case or anything)

Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).

 

Windows Product Key

A friend of mine has an all-in-one that came with Windows 8 pre-installed. He erased the original OS thinking he could install another version of Windows 8. One thing he encountered, that he didn't expect, the BIOS/UEFI has a password. So, basically he is locked out from installing another OS. His BIOS has the product key nestled inside. Is it possible to find out which version the product key belong to?
