  1. Is it possible to find what device uses a driver?

    Hello,

After updating to Windows 10 2004, I noticed that Windows Security now reports incompatible drivers when you try to turn on Memory Integrity under Core Isolation. The driver I've had issues with for years now appears to be usb2ser.sys, but I can't find any devices installed that actually use the driver file. I don't want to delete it and possibly BSOD my computer and break devices, so is there any way I can figure out what device installed the driver so I can see if I can force an update? If not, does anyone have any idea who distributes usb2ser.sys so I can contact them?

    Thanks in advance,

    The Mighty Mi®

  2. Problem with HID (Human Interface Device) Drivers Missing

    Hi,

It doesn't need to have two USB Input HID Driver, only one would work fine.

To check for possible cause of the issue, we suggest that you run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key.
    • Type Troubleshooting.
    • Click Hardware and Sound.
    • Click Hardware and Devices.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.
If the issue still persists, uninstall and reinstall the driver.

Let us know how it goes.

    Laptop driver/reformat question

This is excellent advice. Writing down the list of installed devices prior to re-formatting will save you a lot of heartache. With that list, you won't have to try to figure out exactly which wireless card or web cam driver you need since there will likely be several to choose from.

Is it possible to find what device uses a driver?

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
