  1. Is it possible to have different audio sent out the rear ports?

I'm trying to set up my audio system, and I'm having some difficulty. I want the black audio jack on my motherboard to play a completely different set of audio than my green and blue audio jacks, for example having YouTube play out of the black port and Spotify play out of the green port. Is it possible to do this? And if so, how do I set that up? For reference, I have a B550-m motherboard. Thanks.

    :)

Rear audio ports always show as “Not plugged in”

I've been having this issue with Windows for about a week now which NONE of the back panel/front panel connectors (speakers, microphone) are being recognized by Realtek audio manager. The only audio input/outputs that are showing are the optical.
Troubling shooting steps I've tried (none worked):

    • COMPLETELY uninstall all Realtek drivers/reinstall
    • Tried using windows drivers
    • Reinstall Windows 10
    • Upgraded chipset driver
    • sfc /scannow
I called EVGA and asked for RMA but then I booted into a Ubuntu OS and all the ports work FINE. It must be a problem with windows 10.
Can you think of any other troubling shooting step I can try to fix this annoying issue? Thanks!

After looking in Device Manager under Audio inputs and outputs, I don't see any speaker/microphone listings, only the optical crap:

Possible to disable mic of front port or give preference to the rear mic port?

    Hey guys,

My headset (Sennheiser PC 38 X) is using the Line Out and Mic In audio ports of my Rear I/O Panel (MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi).

My speaker (Logitech Z313) is using the front headphone/microphone port of my case (Phanteks P500A).

Whenever they're both plugged in, the microphone of my headset doesn't work. It seems like it gives a preference to the front audio port over the rear mic port.

Is it possible to set a preference for the rear mic port?

Or to disable the mic of the front audio port? (Since the speaker obviously doesn't have a microphone)

    Thanks

Is it possible to have different audio sent out the rear ports?

Lenovo P620 rear audio port audio cut outs

My Lenovo P620 has a Realtek ALC4050H USB 2.0 chip and the front speaker/headphone jack works perfectly, but the rear port will go into USB D2 power state after 10 seconds causing audio cut outs when it decides to wake up to D0 state. Changing windows power settings has no effect on this audio USB 2.0 buss.
I found a Linux Ubuntu forum concerning the P620’s rear audio port where they had “Use helper to the correct way to disable USB autosuspend.”
I’m not sure how to do this using Windows or even if it’s possible. If it is, I’m sure some here might know of a registry mod that will correct the D2 power state on that USB audio device.
