Windows 10: Is it possible to have two desktops, one on each of two monitors?

I saw another post on this (it's very old) and basically people were only telling them it was either not possible, or that it's ''just the extended desktop'' feature.

What I mean is when you Win+Tab, you can add a fresh desktop. I would like Desktop 1 to be on one monitor, and desktop 2 to be on another. Is this possible?

The reason it's not the same as the extended desktop feature, is that for instance, when I open a folder or program on my secondary monitor, it will usually show up on my main monitor. I know it's a small effort to drag it to the other side, but still. Another thing is, when I move some windows or tabs from my browser from one monitor to another, it will ''stack'' in my taskbar. It feels counterintuitive if I click on my browser icon in the taskbar on my secondary monitor, and I have to choose between two or more tabs or a tab on my main monitor pops up.

Maybe I'm not totally understanding the way dual monitors works technically, but it was still worth a shot to ask!

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
