Is it possible to obtain LIVE HELP without a 365 account? Linked Device serial number not found but but Serial Number is displayed for this device?

Trouble to link a trusted app with my live 365 account

• Can you provide us a screenshot of the exact error message you encountered? In this way we can see a bigger picture of the problem.
  
• Is this the first time you encountered the problem?
  
• What is the version or product name of your 365 subscription? Is it Microsoft 365 Family/Personal or Business?
  

To better isolate the problem, I would highly suggest that you try accessing your live 365 account using different browsers such as Microsoft Edge or Chrome. In this way we can isolate the problem if it is a browser issue.

Windows Phone 7 and converting Office Live to Office 365 account

Since the Office Live accounts serve as live accounts for default account on windows phone, how will this impact users when our Office Live account is converted to Office 365?

Currently our domain is set up with Office Live, so all our users use their email address as the default email account on Windows Phones the same as you would a Live email account. When our Office Live account converts to Office 365 in the near future,
will the phones have to be reset? Will the Office 365 accounts be able to be the default "Live" account or will each user need a new live account as default and set up the Office 365 account as an additional on the phones? Office 365 is an exchange account
rather than a "Live" account like the phone asks for when you first set it up.

I can't access my Windows Live Account from my Windows Phone

Hey John, given the ".edu" in your Microsoft account it makes me think this is indeed a Live@edu account.

Live@EDU accounts (before they are migrated to Office 365 for education) require a different mail server to be entered. To fix continually getting prompted for a password, follow these steps:

• On your phone, go to Start, flick left to the App list, and then tap Settings.
• Tap Airplane mode, and set the status to On. Press Back to return to Settings.
  
• Tap Email+accounts and then tap Windows Live.
  
  Note If you receive an error on this step, tap Close to dismiss the error and then tap Windows Live again.
• On the Windows Live Settings screen, tap Server, and use the keyboard to change
  m.hotmail.com to read m.outlook.com.
• Tap Done. The phone will sync and the server should be changed to pod*****.outlook.com. Press Back to go to Settings.
  
• Tap Airplane mode, and tap to set the status to Off.
• Visit Microsoft 365 help & learning for additional guidance and support.
  
  Important Your Live@edu account may get migrated to Office 365 for education in the future. If it does, you may receive a sync error message and will need to follow the steps outlined in this article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2464629#85010001).
