My phone for some reason connects to the home wifi itself but there’s no actual internet connection. Therefore, I’ve resorted to using my laptop instead because for some reason I am able to get an internet connection that way.

I’m one who doesn’t really turn the laptop off but will do so occasionally. I have seen in different articles that it’s not exactly ideal to leave it running all the time so I’m wondering if there’s a way to have it off but the hotspot still accessible since I need the internet on my phone.

  2. driver power state failure

    Hi,

A driver power state failure usually occurs if a device driver was commanded to go to a low power state or sleep then It was suddenly commanded to wake up and it did not respond. This issue also has to do something about your device's BIOS power option.
To address this concern, we suggest performing PC reset. Resetting your computer lets you choose whether to keep your files or remove them, and then it will reinstall Windows. Before performing PC reset, we suggest backing up all of your files
to avoid sudden data loss. To perform PC reset, visit this link.

If the same issue persist after perform PC reset. We highly suggest contacting your device's manufacturer and have them check the BIOS of your device.

If further assistance is needed, don't hesitate to reply on this thread.

    • Open the Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Copy and paste the command below into the command prompt, and press
      Enter
      :
      • powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
    • Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your PC to apply the changes.

After that, go to Power & sleep settings
by typing it into the Windows Search. Check the When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after
    settings is set to Never.
