Windows 10: Is it possible to reset the Appdata's Microsoft Roaming Folder? Is That What's Even Causing...

Right, so a bit of explanation is needed here, and I'm probably missing something, but either way, a reinstallation of Windows 10 needed to be done in order to fix some irreparable file corruption, however, the data that was on the drive was able to be recovered/saved, with the installation itself being the only removal. Since I needed things to be transferred from the old, corrupt installation's .appdata folder, I copied it over without much thought, and seemed to have caused some issues as a result.First, foremost, and most prominently, is the fact that literally all of the in-built apps' ic

• About the roaming function, do you wish to prevent Windows 10 from storing files on the AppData>Roaming folder?
• If not, do you wish to delete some files on the AppData folder?

Roaming folder's setting not loaded comepletely?

I assume you are talking about this folder:

c:\Users\Jianwei\AppData\Roaming

If so then these steps should fix the problem:

1. Mark the code line below, then press Ctrl+C to copy it.
2. Click the Start globe.
3. Press Ctrl+V to paste the code line.
4. Press Enter.

cmd.exe /c attrib -h -r /s /d "%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming" & pause

 

How to access appdata folder

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Write in the search box the following: “%appdata%” .
• After the search is finished left click or tap on the folder that the search feature found.
• If it takes you to the following path: “C:\Users\The user that you are logged in with\AppData\Roaming”.
• It means that your folders are still there but they are hidden.
• Click on “View”.
• Check the box “Hidden items”
