Windows 10: Is it possible to set up a timer for the Caps Lock?

This might be a feature for a future version of Windows, but is it possible to set up a timer for the Caps Lock? It would be ideal if it automatically switched off after a few seconds if there weren't any keystrokes.

This is likely to be one of those where, as I don't know what you've already tried, I'll have spent time suggesting what you have tried.

That's why I asked for a clear list of what you have tried.

Do you see this when you toggle caps lock?

The Caps Lock On indicator may have been disabled that's why it doesn't appear on your screen when Caps Lock is on. To have it enabled, follow these steps:

• Right-click on your desktop and click Display Settings.
• Click Advanced display settings.
• Scroll down and click Display adapter properties.
• Click the Screen configurations tab and check the box for
  Enable on-screen display.
• Under Indicator settings for NumLock and CapsLock, look for While the numeric lock or the caps lock is ON section and choose either
  Show the indicator for a few seconds or Always show the indicator on the screen.
• Click Apply, then OK.

Caps Lock behavior setting

Once ukpon a time, It was possible to make Caps Lock behave as on a typewriter, i.e. it was possible to set it in the way it could be turned off by pressing a shift key. I'm still using this settings, but since the corresponding dialog box was removed from
Win10, I can no longer reset Caps Lock behavior to its factory default, when it is toggled on and off only by pressing Casp Lock key.

Can you help me to restore factory default Caps Lock behavior? Thank you
