Windows 10: Is it possible to switch off the ugly background gradient in Windows 11 apps, like Explorer?

Window 11 has this extremely unpleasant background gradient that lights up applications towards the lower right corner. For example, the explorer, or WSL2. Internet Explorer 11 not working on Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter

Hi, have you ever removed Edge?

Sometimes this might happen because there's a MS server issue. However, what you say above suggests something else may be amiss.

N.B. after resetting Spotlight as Bree suggests, it may take several days (in my experience) before it starts working again.
