    Hi i recently put windows 8.1 on my old laptop i think its from 2013. it used to have windows 10 i have ssd installed but it is still slow i think its because of the old cpu because this laptop have 6 gb of ram and based on task manager it only goes up to 3gb consumption but my cpu runs at almost always 99% utilization 1ghz. i tried linux for day to day basis but it is not a great experience for me. i know that the windows 8.1 no longer have any security updates. my question is does relying on third party antivirus enough to protect this computer ? i am running either the new edge and mozi
