Is it safe to delete System Minidump files or System memory dump files in Disk Cleanup in...

I'm using Disk Cleanup every month to get my Windows 10 laptop running at it's best. I had an error screen 2 days ago and these files popped up on Disk Cleanup. I heard that it's safe to delete everything that's displayed on Disk Cleanup but except the Downloads folder but is it really? Please can you give me some assistance.

    :)

System Error Memory Dump Files Won't Delete

    Hello,

I have searched many forums but haven't came across any answers to my unique problem.

When attempting to do a Disk Cleanup, I find that 67GB of storage is used by "System error memory dump files" that I can't delete. I run a disk cleanup, it doesn't fail but doesn't delete any of that 67GB either. I also have tried searching for Disk Cleanup
and running as admin, same results. Going into Start --> settings --> system --> storage --> C drive -->temporary files doesn't do it either, it doesn't even have it as an option to delete the memory dump files. I saw a suggestion to find the C:\Windows\Memory.dmp
and rename it, then try to delete using disk cleanup. I don't see that file.

I have right clicked on every folder in my C drive and went to properties (hidden folders as well) and checked the total file size. The closest one comes in at 50GB.

Any suggestions? This seems like it should be easy to do but I must be missing something. I have partitioned my system drive in a way that it doesn't hold much and with this extra 67GB it's almost full.

    Thank you!

  3. Windows 10 system error memory dump files filling HD

Windows 10 as in previous versions of Windows has the Windows Administrative Tools folder on your Start Menu (where you find the usual suspects of Pinned (Most Used) followed by the rest of alphabetical Unpinned).

Open/Drop down the Windows Administrative Tools folder. Click on Disk Cleanup. Disk Cleanup will Scan and then list the files you can clean up off your disk. System error memory dump file is listed. Check it if you want to delete, click OK, click Delete
    files.

SORRY YOU ARE RIGHT! CLEAN UP DOES NOT CLEAN UP. Weird.
