Is it safe to ignore Event Log ID 219 Warning Task Category 212

Hi, new W10, updated to 1703. I had the computer for less than 2 weeks- I think I gotten the Warning (The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device.....) from first day. I get it sometimes when plugin in a flash drive, it doesn't happen every time and it doesn't cause any issue.

Is this one of those Warnings that can be safely ignored in W10?

Searching Google, a solution seems to be to set Service "Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework" to Automatic. I haven't tried that solution and rather leave that alone if this Warning is OK to ignore and kind of normal in W10. Thanks. *Smile

    Hi there,

I've been getting frequent freezes while running games forcing me to hard reset.

The error in Event Viewer reads as follows:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\ENE0110\5&3055329f&0

Or copied straight out of Event viewer:

Level Date and Time Source Event ID Task Category

    Warning 2016/03/07 7:32:34 PM Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP 219 (212) The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\ENE0110\5&3055329f&0.

I have updated graphics drivers, even rolled back to older versions and still no luck...

Is it safe to ignore Event Log ID 219 Warning Task Category 212

    Hey Bo,
Yes, it's safe to ignore those warnings. I get 2 of them on my old desktop and setting Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework to Automatic had no effect for me, but may work for you *Smile

I get the same warnings (1607 LTSB) when I plug in any USB drive, flash or external SATA in a USB enclosure. I noticed if the drive is plugged in when I boot up, I get the error/warning, but if I plug it in after windows has already booted, I don't. I ignore them because I have not found a fix and everything works perfectly.

When Windows boots with the drive already plugged in, I get error:
    "Event ID: 219
The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{c9b5f2f1-6825-11e7-9ca5-fcaa14e0f395}#0000000000100000."

When plugged in after Windows has already booted I just get a warm, fuzzy "Information" message:
"Volume X: (\Device\HarddiskVolume4) is healthy. No action is needed."
