Windows 10: Is it Safe to Increase the Virtual Memory above the recommended and will it improve...

When I were searching on the Internet for a way to increase the performance of a PC, the following video said https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztqg1DcxvVE that increasing the Virtual Memory from Advanced System Settings on Windows 10 will improve the performance. I did some research about this, and I found it is to be true. But, I don't know whether is it safe or not to increase it to 4 GB or above as it was said in the video. I got a laptop with 4 GB RAM and 1387 MB Recommended Amount of Virtual Memory. Should I increase this Virtual Memory to like 4096 MB 4 GB ?

Hi,

You should let Windows handle the Virtual Memory as it will increase or decrease its size on the fly (as needed). Increasing virtual memory "might" allow some programs to run more efficiently (large memory consuming programs such as Photoshop). However setting
the virtual memory too high can significantly slow down your computer.
