Windows 10: Is it safe to say Microsoft Office 2010 is a lost cause on Windows 10?

Windows wouldn't update properly because it couldn't install Office 2010 Service Pack 2, I tried

• 
  Restarting
  
  
• 
  Repairing the office program
  
  
• 
  Downloading the x32 version from microsoft's website standalone, still fails
  
  
• 
  Downloading the x64 version, doesn't detect anything so does nothing
  
  
• 
  Running sfc & DISM
  

Then when that didn't work, I decided to just uninstall office 2010, that didn't work though, through option 1 (add or remove prgorams) it just got stuck at 0% and didn't work. Option 2 was to use the uninstall program which didn't work either, so option 3 was last resort and i used revo uninstaller and got rid of it, then used cc cleaner to remove any registry knowledge of the program

Then I went to the microsoft website, put in the cd key to reinstall it, download the 32 bit installer and... it gets to the install part then gets stuck at 50% for 5 hours... okay, restarted and try again, another 3 hours, still stuck at 50%.

What the hell do I do to get Office 2010 to work on my Godfathers laptop? God damn.

Office 2010 in Windows 10

I had Windows 8.1 installed on my laptop but after I upgraded to Win 10 I lost Office 2010. I downloaded from a USB and the file was then located in Downloads. Opening the file was OK, and I was told that files were being extracted. When this finished I
could not fond Office anywhere. It was not in the apps list or in the program list. Office was 2010 Professional Pro 64 bit version.

Can anyone help please?
