Windows 10: Is it still possible to upgrade to W10 from W8.1 Pro?

My current laptop is having BSOD issues for the past few weeks. I've thought of trying to fix it (or reinstalling the OS), but then why not just upgrade to W10? I currently have the key that I used to install my current W8.1 Pro. If it's still possible, what would be the steps that I would need to do?

I haven't installed W8 Pro yet - how do I get W10 Pro

I have a computer running W7 Home, but bought the initial offer of an ISO upgrade to W8 Pro. I have not yet installed the W8 Pro upgrade. In order to get W10 Pro, must I install the W8 Pro first, or can I simply enter the product license key for W8 Pro
that I got?

It might be a safe bet to upgrade to the Windows 8 Pro first GPB HMA. Because then you'd get Windows 10 Pro for free. Just keep in mind that Windows Media Center won't be apart of Windows 10. Your files from Windows 7 will be ok as well. It would be a safer
bet files wise to make a backup disk of your important files you want to keep just incase too.

 

Will I upgrade to W10 Pro or Home?


Edit: I was able to upgrade to W10 Pro RTM and activate. The responses below that say this is not possible are wrong. Mentioned here also Build 10240: Did you get assigned a license/product key? : Windows10

Hi, I have a laptop with OEM key in the BIOS which shipped with W8 Core and I installed W10 Pro TP Build 10162.

Will I upgrade to W10 Pro? Or will I upgrade to W10 Home? Thanks.
