Windows 10: Is it True There Should Always be 20 to 25% of Free Space At All Times When Running Any...

Hello Microsoft friends, I read you should always leave 20 to 25% free space at all times for operating systems like Windows to run properly which is a lot of space not to be used for 1TB that's around 250GB, for 4TB SSDs that's 1TB of just free space?If this is true, which one: 20 or 25%? And based on which size, the physical size or the logical size?I hope it's not true for Windows 11 23H2, maybe Windows 11 has solved that issue, coz' that's a lot of space not used to install a lot of games.Thank you. Computer turns off 20-25 mins later?

Is it always 20-25 minutes of run time or will it shutdown sometimes after a few minutes and other times longer than the 20-25?

 

What will happen on Jan 20, 2016?


Strollin: I understand your suggestion, but that means I'll have to re-install all my sofftware etc. again. This is not an enticing thought at all.

LCDR: I tried the old activation code I used before - it is the same on you posted.

I tried the steps listed at the WinAero site. Last one failed because it said the server could not be located. But I did get the Jan 20, 2016 date back. So that's something.
